About FACT
A public-private effort bringing standardized forest carbon data into one accessible, transparent place.
The Forestry Analytics for Carbon Tracking (FACT) platform is a public-private effort led by the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities (the Endowment), the USDA Forest Service and ten forest sector partners, with input from scientists, engineers and researchers.
What is the FACT Platform?
FACT is a public-use digital platform that solves the real, growing challenge that reliable forest sector carbon data is hard to access. Landowners and businesses face increasing pressure to report carbon data, but what exists today is fragmented, inconsistent and costly to compile.
FACT brings standardized U.S. forest and harvested wood product carbon data into one accessible, transparent place.

Help us Improve!
The FACT Beta Launch will provide an active improvement period to address bugs, improve functionality and incorporate enhanced explanations based on user feedback.
Users are invited to explore the platform, test its tools, identify missing information and provide feedback. Valuable input gathered during this stage will shape the platform ahead of its full Version 1 release, which is planned for summer 2027.
